So, using Heroclix game system, they will be releasing some Kaiju monster figures in about 2.5 inch figures.

Not sure how these will scale with MonPoc?

Looking for a set of rules that adaptable for different genres.

I think the Jaeger's look promising on a few fronts. First one i thought of was for TAG's for Infinity depending on the actual size of the minis.

I'm curious about the Clix myself.

And I'm going to see the movie just because the giant robot hits the giant monster with a boat.

Pacific Rim will be what all of the recent awful robot/monster movies should be.  With Guillermo at the helm I'm expecting a popcorn munchin' good time.  Idris Elba is awesome, and they use what's it called from Portal (the system voice).  It's like Voltron/Power Ranges/Godzilla/Transformers all roled into one.  I think it'll be a riot.

GLaDOS.

I have been waiting thirty-seven years for Pacific Rim.  My main fear is that it will be aimed a little too much at twelve year old boys - which sounds like a bit of a ridiculous comment in the context, but I am sure that some of you know what I mean.

I would very happily play a PR 'clix game.

I have faith in Guillermo del Toro (sp?).  If you've seen stuff like Pan's Labyrinth you'll see he can do a film which is entertaining/interesting/spooky to all ages at the same time.  I have hope!   I love the shot in the trailer of the huge monster carcass on the aircraft carrier (though one wonders how in the world they got it on there without capsizing the ship...).

A giant robot picked it up and placed it there  :D

Or helicopters lifted it into place.

Or even better, they used one of those ships that carries oil rigs. The ones that can partially submerge and floated it on. Then for some reason they lifted it off that and onto the aircraft carrier......

Film science, gotta love it  lol
