Late 16th cen European sailors
« on: July 26, 2014, 08:05:58 PM »
Hello chaps,

I'm after some of the above and general European figures for the late 1500's (the later the better although it probably wouldn't make much of a difference).

Preferable countries would be England, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain  :)

UK source preferred.

Eureka miniatures have some portuguese sailors and you can get them from Fighting15s in UK.
If you look to Eldorado adventurers and some elizabethan swashbucklers from foundry you can add a few more.

They're not bad them  :)

Shame about the eight week delivery though  :? I might have to go direct to source for them.

Forgot about Foundry although I'm thinking they might be a bit chunky.

cheers

The Assault Group's "Renaissance" range goes as late as the Stuarts - their Tudor and Spanish sub-ranges might be useful:

Crann Tara Miniatures sells Jim Bowen's border reivers (ex-Graven Images)

while Sgt Major Miniatures sells the equivalent range by the Patten brothers (ex-Vendel):

In a slightly more fantastic vein, some of the figures from Helldorado (Westerners and mercenaries)might be useful:

A UK stockist is Arcane Miniatures: http://www.arcaneminiatures.co.uk

Back from the dead, almost.

Thanks Steve  :) Some of the TAG will come in useful certainly.

I should've mentioned that these will be travelling to the Japans  ;)

I think with a mix from all these manufacturers and your painting skills they will become great.

Those Eureka figures are full of character. :)
