When I click on the 'unread posts' button (top left), every now and then it seems to empty itself of unread topics and only has four or five, but will then build up the amount to almost two full pages worth.

I'm using the iPad 90% of the time to browse the LAF so I'm just wondering if that has something to do with it.

Being the lazy bugger I'm it means I have missed some good threads and only by going through each board individually can I find everything

no idea at the moment, no experiences with Ipad, Jim, I guess it has something to do with their way to manage the temporary Internet files. But it's just a guess. Would like to know if other members got a similar problem?

I have experienced only getting 6 or so topics on an unread topics search when I know there are many more but only a couple of times. The most recent occurence, I did the search and got 2 pages of results, read one topic and then re-searched and only got 4 results. I just put it down to a temporary glitch.

I have had this but only when I haven't signed in by the normal method. Usually I sign in using the bar at the left, and I'm on 'forever'. If I sign in using the buttons to reach the sign in screen, I've noticed the forum has sometimes logged me out if I've spent a long time on one thread. I think it's because I'm only logged in for a short time so the forum takes inactivity as abscence, then does an automatic log-out.

I thought about that but it seems to happen whichever way I sign in

I generally click on the unread posts and find one or two pages listed.
If I scroll down the list, read a topic and rhen click on unread again it generally drops the list to a half-dozen or so, as of I had had the chance to read all those that were in the original list just by being online.
So usually, instead of reclicking the show unread, I click the back button.
That usually returns me to the full 1 ot 2 page list, although often without the topic that I just read.
But I have no complaints. The forum is wonderful- cheers me up after the bad days.
