Picked up some figures by Tangent Miniatures based on characters from the Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer films. Taken with my camera phone, so the picture quality isn't great.

There are two female figures included in the pack. At first glance they appear to be either Sonja (from Red Sonja) or Valeria (from Conan the Barbarian). The problem I found is that the clothing doesn't completely match either character as they appeared in the films. The figure with the raised sword looks like Red Sonja from the comicbook, but again isn't a complete match. So, in the end I painted one as Valeria and the other Red Sonja.

Another pack of figures from Tangent Miniatures. This time they are based on characters from the TV show 'Xena: Warrior Princess'.

Xena is armed with her trademark Chakram. The figure is supposed to be throwing the Chakram, but no amount of pinning or glue would keep the arm upright for a bond to develop. As a result, Xena is holding the Chakram down be her side.

They look great, even with the unpainted axe head! The colour palette works really well. I don’t recognize the figures, which manufacturer are they from?

Thanks! They are 3d prints from Medbury Miniatures, I'm not sure if they do physical models as I have a printer so just get the files.
I wanted to go for earthy, nature tones since the beornings and woodmen of Mirkwood are definitely on the "wilder" side of things.

Designs by EC3D and printed by 3DKingdoms. These are billed as a set of 'Bounty Hunters' and they wouldn't look out of place in Star Wars.

I was really happy with the paint jobs I had done on these. I varnished them with matt varnish on the hottest day in the UK (so far). So, imagine my surprise and disgust the following day when I discovered that the varnish had turned snowy. As it had been a hot and dry day when I varnished, I can only think that my varnish had reached the end of it's life.

So I tried the usual trick of applying Satin or Gloss varnish and wait and see whether that would fix it.

For the most part it worked, but there's still places where I can spot that the original varnish had gone snowy and that's ruined my joy at the original paint jobs.

Slowly I continue to paint for Silver Bayonet

I've also decided after 2 facial repaints that I'm too old and doddery for eyes anymore so they can squint like Clint.
No dear, they are not toys, they are models

I painted a second batch of 3-D printed zombies. Simultaneous, I finished up a nice sized lot of urban scatter. I figured it was perfect to pose them together...!

Lots more pictures on the Lead Legionaries blog:

Next up? Some of the vehicles that my players will be using in their road trip across zombie-infested USA...  :o

Mike, the urban scatter looks great!

Some giant rats right off the painting table

Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
