Nicely done sir!

Great stuff. Nothing like a block of pikes to slow down the samurai a bit. :)
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Beautiful springs to mind
The Victorian Outpost

Its a new gaming place in Grimsby with new terrain and new scenery, lots of respect for all wargamers and is the best place to game in town.

Anybody who wishes to visit the venue to arrange a game then  just pm me and lets roll those dice.

These are striking, really well done and a lovely little unit. I've had a gander at your blog - very nice work there, btw -, and have to say Impetus looks like a fascinating system. Certainly makes for some good-looking battles!

I know a controlled rusting method was used to give a rich brown finish to some samurai armours; was it ever actually used for ashigaru equipment? And it must have been lacquered afterwards.

I don't know I just preferred a brown armour rather then the typical black or red(not that I won't try that someday).

Thank you guys! :)

@Steelfist

No not given up rather it just has been on the back burner like many of my projects. The truth is Samurai are extremely difficult to paint as you know and I need to be in the right frame of mind before doing any.  o_o

I still have those lovely figures you gave me many moons ago that I will paint!(Yeah right I'm sure your thinking) :D I thought about mixing them with the Impetus project, but they dwarf the Perry's so imho won't fit with that. Fortunately Ronin has come along and I think they would be perfect for that. 8)

Good to see you persist with the project as there are too few collections of samurai to view online.

Would be great to see how you tackle the minis I gave you, also how you find they paint up compared to Perry samurai.
Cheers
