We're back !
Round 2 of our Op Compass Campaign sees the British running across a stationary Italian Column under repairs, as the game starts the race is on to escape.
A thoroughly enjoyable game with a very close finish, early Desert is definitely where it's at.
I have also done a seperate Resource Page to hold all the extra rules, links to previous games etc.
Is it a Turkey Shoot or is this Old Italian Bird going to bite back ?
Regards Ken

Great looking models. And sounds a very enjoyable game.
In the first photo the Caunter scheme actually worked to confuse the outline of the tank enough that I had to look a couple of times to work out what the photo actually was of.

Indeed it does. I’ve painted it a fair few times, but this is the first time I’ve really seen its effect on a viewer.

Nice collection of soft skins, good to see them on a battlefield instead of hordes of armour

Beautiful looking game and the write up was most enjoyable. The Caunter scheme does look cracking on those vehicles.
BTW who makes the Italian trucks?

Cheers Everyone,
Carlos the "Italian" trucks are a bit of a cheat. They are a die cast vehicle from a Company called Lledo from their Days Gone By Range. I buy them for 3 or 4 pounds each off eBay 2nd hand.
They arrive very colourful with 1950s advertising decals on, I strip these off and 're paint. They are on the small side but for that price are a quick and easy way of building up a decent sized soft skin force in quick time on the cheap.
The model I used is the Fordson Truck as the front grill resembles the front of a Fiat truck. They also do a 8th Army truck and Ambulance which are also visible in the photos.

Cheers!
I’m familiar with Lledo, I have a few of my own but I’d never seen a cab-over model from them. Handy to know and even better to know that they work size-wise.
I don’t suppose you have their 1939 Ford truck and know if that’s kosher for 28mm by any chance? Years Gone By were all fit the box sized and it can be a bugger working out whether they work without one in hand.

Cheers Carlos, unfortunately I haven't got one of the 39 Ford's, it would be a case of buy one and hope unfortunately, the ones I have are small but they do work ok, especially en masse.
