Looking good so far!

We were tossing up whether to have a construction site on ours, but not sure as it's only 2'x2' ... but seeing all those pipes and trucks makes me want one!

Might have to look into this ...

Making myself update my progress each week, even if it's not that impressive:

Peter, Logan, Ben and Steve making up the Marvel contingent

Arthur, Bruce, Ollie and Dinah flying the flag for DC

Kit and Devil, V, Hellboy and Kovacs represent indy comics

As you can see, only a handful are finished so far, but they're ready to playtest a little.

Obligatory group shot.

Weekly update:

The streets may be a bit crowded, with my fleet of vehicles growing;

A Clix Paramedic [wo]mans a German Ambulance.

Kovacs investigates the mystery of the unexpected street sweeper.

Kovacs finds a strange creature that communicates only with its own name whilst tracking a possible communist.

That's all for now, with Uni almost done, I should be making better progress soon.

Ok, think I may have missed a week, but it seems nefarious villains have been gathering.

AIM Troopers hunt down a mysterious walking plant.

"Maybe we can sneak up behind it?"

"I had to walk all the way here! Why don't we have a bigger car?"

Hat Guy:  Can you give us any info on where the vehicles are coming from (manufacturer, model #s, etc.)?

Most of the vehicles are from Siku's 1:50 Diecast range, the VWish Van and the Bug however are from $2 stores and just happened to be the right size. The best advice I have is to never walk past a toy store without having a quick look.

Did you get the Ambulance and street sweeper from a store in Melbourne or online?

Ambulance and Street Sweeper were from Toy Kingdom Forest Hill. Actually all of the vehicles were from there except the VW Van (Ringwood Square) and the Bug (Dalesford)

Thanks! I actually have that same van, they seem to be floating around the $2 shops. Looks sweet with a repaint!

Almost forgot to update:

Clayface discovers that the apprentice forgot to wash the van... again.

Grundy's inability to comprehend the complex mechanical nature of this vehicle fills Grundy with ennui.

Spiderman will never suspect that my new plan hinges upon construction equipment!

These three vehicles represent, in order, my attempts at using hairspray and makeup for weathering. I'm really happy with the last one, I used some silver makeup mixed with brown to get a nice dirty and worn look.

Burning through figures now that I never have to write an essay again!

Heroes unite! Aquaman, Spider-Man and The Phantom join the fight!

Two more Pokemon and the first of my civilians (actually Jessica Jones). For those wondering, the Pokemon are general minis use as animals, objectives and action tokens. I'm young enough to have enjoyed Pokemon the first time around and I happen to like these little vending machine toys.

The sinister Scorpion and some terrain. Shipping crates are AT-43 with a little weathering and the bins are from Black Cat Bases.

Wow these are looking fantastic mate. How do the heros scale up against 28mm miniatures?

The Older clix tend to scale pretty well with GW and Eureka, not so much with Bolt Action. Some of the new clix are pretty giant, but I tend to either play Superheroes or something else, so scale's not such a big consideration.

Weekly update time:

Vulture in front of my last AT-43 container with a Leafion.

Vulture on one of my new, very expensive, high-tech flying stands soaring over Aquaman.

Sewer openings from Black Cat Bases.

A couple of the Sewer openings on one of my road tiles. Why sewer openings you ask? See below.

Aquaman commands the loyalty of crabs and snapping turtles! A little difficult to find in the city, however;

When Aquaman is in play he can summon sea-bound allies from nearby spawn points, including sewer openings. Clever huh? There are more sea creatures in the works, but you'll have to wait to see those.

Looking really great, and so much fun!  (That's always been my favorite Batman sculpt too, really captures the character I think.)
