Beau Jest! AAR
« on: March 18, 2016, 02:02:18 PM »
We continued with our preparation for the WorLard Day at the Durham club with another test run of a Beau Geste inspired game of Sharp Practice.

This was the second run through with, after finally reading the rules, went a lot smoother than the week before, though Nige and mick might differ on that point!

You can read the AAR and see many an atmospheric picture on my Just Add Water blog here:

Here's a couple of taster pics:

Cheers,
Darrell.

Darrell, the whole presentation is marvelous. The figures and that fort (!) look just right, and the atmospheric photos are a nice touch. Though I don't game it any more myself, the whole Legion in the desert thing (along with hefty doses of Hollywood) has always had a strong appeal. The rules sound great also.

Thank you for the continued inspiration!

Daryl

None of the mini's and terrain are mine. Malc from Grimsby made the fort and has done a great job and the mini's are all from fellow club member Sweary Nigel's collection.

I'm as much in awe of the game as the next man :)

Darrell.

Atheling .my favourite period and Army..that's very good..and very interesting to see mixture of Légionaires from various manufactures...the fort ecc...maybe a pity that you post some B&W picts that spoils this colourful scenario with plenty of well painted castings
