More Perry plastic late medievals incoming
« on: April 20, 2013, 05:19:31 PM »
Just to let you know, at Salute today, Michael Perry was previewing the first 3-ups figures for TWO new late medieval plastic boxed sets - foot knights and light cavalry. He said he's hoping to have them out within the year, as they have less in the plastic pipeline at the moment.
Very exciting - although also slightly concerning, because at this rate I'm never ever going to be able to stop building and painting Perry medievals! Just when I think I've done all the permutations I can think of, along come another two new sets with (no doubt) lots of gorgeous new components, weapons, helmets, heads, and poses to seduce me into another entire round of building and painting!
Aaaargh!
;)

Oh yeah - there's an ACW plastic artillery set and AWI continental infantry coming along soon too.

And the 8th Army figure are brilliant. Can't wait for the Afrika Korps  :)

Woohoo, then it's true what's been whispered at Tactica earlier this year. I saw the first dollies there, good stuff all around. :)
Slightly off the Medieval topic: Any word on when the Afrikakorps box is to be released?

Actually, that's the one thing I forgot to ask him! (But I'm pretty sure they've already said they'll be out in June).

Bumped into Frank at Salute - that was a nice surprise. Wasn't expecting to see him there :)

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

That era, yes - also suitable for European Armies 1450 - 1500 I guess.

Amazing and wonderful news :D - does anybody have pictures?

I'm sure some will surface shortly. Michael said he only had a couple done so far, but seemed pretty confident about pushing on with them quite quickly...
We shall see...  ;)

Just back from Salute - the new Perry 3-ups dod not disappoint (these two seem based on 'Beauchamp Pageant' illustrations I think?).
Pulled a couple of pics of the camera. The 'Light Cavalry' look very useful with arm options as crossbow, mounted archers and coustillers/standard bearers.

Will post pics of the Cravant HYW game later this week
Simon.

Darrell,
Off category (so forgive me ) -  your 8th Army diorama on Perrys stand was great!!
