That's a great build, the curved roof, the roof tiles, the individual bricks, it's all just so impressive  :-*
Can't agree more.  Wonderful build.

I'm a little behind as I didn't have the time do do much last week and only a little progress today.
The crushing tub is almost done, it only needs the hoops.

It is made by cutting a foam base

then I glued cut up coffee stirrers (2,5 cm) around it.

The bottom is 1mm thick balsa wood.

I will probably make the hoops from plastic strips.
That's it for now.

Coffee stirrers are king in this hobby, aren't they?  ;)

Looking good there; it's just like the real thing!

Will you model the individual grapes in the tub too?  :P

Wow! This looks great. Incredible skill on the stone work and roof. I can't wait to see the whole thing come together...  :o

I was thinking about that, but I decided to make it empty and paint the inside like it is stained from years of use.  ;)

That tub is a great little addition

Funny you say that  lol
I finished the tube, made a base for it and done a simple roofed structure.
It all looks good, I really like it, but then I put it next to the house whole thing looks enormous. And I can't decide if I like that or not...  o_o

I plan to make a thatched roof using a scouring pad as a base (I saw this on Sarissa Precision's site). It seems easy to do and gives a good enough effect, but I want to test it irl and this liitle side building is perfect for it. I should be done with it this weekend.

Well cool.  Now you need to do another two or three hundred vines.   lol

If you are thatching this is another option rather than the scowering pad.

Used it before with good results.

Very nice work so far.

Looking good. If you'd worried the hot (grape) tub is gunna be too big next to the cottage you could always build something for the cottage to sit on...either a stepped brick platform or a small hill / rise.

I agree with you that the size of the tub might throw some folks off. Maybe set it a distance away from the house and our eyes will just assume that it looks bigger because it is in the foreground?  ;)

that's a good idea, have a set doors for access down to the wine cellar, big doors, with runners on the ground for the barrels.

Do to some personal issues I couldn't do as much over the weekend as I would have liked, so the hill will not be a part of my entry.  :(

A did make this on Sunday.

It still needs a lot of work though, which I will be unable to finish till the building deadline.
Also I would like to make the part, where the cellar door should be (behind the soldier), interchangeable. That way I can use the hill for other settings, and it wouldn't be out of place.
I will finish this after the competition.
There is painting to do and I will have no time for it on Wednesday, despite the holiday. On top of that my dentist put of my appointment from tomorrow to Friday. If he does anything to my wisdom tooth other than looking, I will be a wreck on the weekend. o_o
So I have less time than I would like to finish everything.

Ouch, real work sucks. Remember for this round have from the 1st to the 7th to paint and that the deadline for submitting photos is midnight Pacific Daylight Time (UTC-7).
