Removing figures from the integral bases.  How difficult?

No idea, but if you do, I'd buy the cobblestone one from you...

That depends on the figure and whether you care if you destroy the base. The Blue Moon figures are done by Old Glory and their metal is the same. They can be cut free with care, but I would try and do it with a saw or rotary tool, not with an razor or X-acto blade.

I tried reducing the size of the base and it is very difficult.  If you can, try to get a very thin razor saw and cut away the base at the soles of the feet.

Otherwise leave them as they are.

These bases are a real pain.
I constantly whined about them during Chaos in Carpathia playtestd - to no avail.
 ;)
Anyway - it is difficult. And it really depends on the mini, the saw approach is IMO the best one, then some scraping, sanding etc. The mini then has to be pinned on the new base.

Thanks  :)

I always use a fine-toothed saw for initial removal with other figures, then clean up with files.  Does seem a pain though with a box full of figures.  Keeps putting me off buying any...

Then use a cutter on the ankles, pin them and sculpt new feet. ;)

I used a saw to cut right through the middle of the base. This stops the feet or legs bending on the next stage. I used side cutters to trim away the rest of the base, quick and easy but if you don’t cut the base in half you can break off the feet. I then used a small file to file down the base around each foot. You need to try and file these bits into to smallish pins. Then on your new base you have to drill a hole to match the pins.
I did it with these six. Didn’t take that long.
