Hi Agis,
since we are enjoying Raid! so much, is there a chance for a "Moden Raid!" with symetrical engagements (Iraqi vs. US Army), asymetrical engagements (Taliban vs. regular Army), Special Forces, Helis, Cold War Tanks and Aliens?
Cheers Franz

Hmm, interesting idea.
I already have some IDF, Syrians and PLO troopers written (Lebanon 82).
But please do not hold your breath, real life is very demanding atm.

Yes, if I find the time!
What modern lists would be of most interest?

I'd definitely put my vote down for modern Bundeswehr lol

Hi Agis,
great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D :-* :-*
Concerning Sales of your new product:
* symetrical engagements (Iraqi vs. US Army) AND Bundeswehr, Brits, Russians, Syrians
* asymetrical engagements (Taliban vs. regular Army)
There's a great overview on Modern Forces in a current fan project (running for already quite a long time) for adapting Bolt Action 2 WW2 to the contemporary forces.
Maybe you already know it, if not it might be of some help to you: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4RmG4xCQHNZTEFScEp5T1N0Q00 (first link is the English version)
Another successful but smaller project with exactly the same focus is on http://jayswargamingmadness.blogspot.de/2017/03/bolt-action-modern-army-lists-v31.html (Army Lists)

Thanks for the pointer, I alreday knew these.
(I am more or less drowning in Military books...)

I am loving ViDe Raid! What I would like to see is ViDe FC Raid! Alternatively, a generic book providing guidelines to convert any ViDe product to Raid! stats would be nice. or the generic force creator you mentioned in another thread.
As for modern forces, the stats can be based on FC forces, tweaking them to match research or experience from the desired operation. The low tech forces are about the level of the late '60s to early 70's. To make more advanced forces, use what seems appropriate from the low and mid tech force lists.

Agreed "ViDe FC Raid!" is about time.
;)
While painting the great Astropolis minis and playing 40K again I am more and more tempted to get it done.
BTW - Did you noticed how many 2011 ViDe ideas are in the new 40K?
I played two games of 40K and I am finally after years and years of only reading back into gaming 40K.
While playing it struck me why I like the new 40K so much, it has many of the game ideas of my own 2011 Victory Decision system included!
Do not get me wrong, I do not believe that GW even know of my system, but it is in a way rewarding to see that sometimes the same ideas pop up.
Some examples:
Vehicle stats same statline as infantry, 40K = ViDe
Casualty removal, 40K = ViDe
Pre measuring, 40K = ViDe
Save modifiers, 40K = ViDe
Etc. I am even thinking about including some of their ideas (Indirect fire, Flame weapons, Moral tests) into ViDe.
So if time permits I will do a "ViDe FC Raid!" book including options to create modern forces.
BUT - and this is a big but, right now my free time is very limited.
Early January my dad passed away at age 87, 2016 was a lot of things to do to arrange the care he needed. My mom still lives but is naturally depending more and more on me.
To top all this I am leading jobwise an IT project within the German Digitalization efforts.

Being honest I hope more for a future version with modern as a possibility than a raw modern version. viDe Future is great, usable for modern and future. 40K is ok, but for me something is missing, but I do not know what...

Exactly what I have in mind! ;)
