Nuns! The Sister with the lamp is from RAFM classic Cthulu line. She was purchased, based and primed in the 90s. The mini got packed away during a move and was only recently uncovered and painted. The Nun with a gun is a Reaper bones mini, she was a pleasure to paint. I've been wanting this fig for awhile to go with my Papal VSF team.

Nice stuff. Certainly don't look like the types to mess with.

My long moribund Papal VSF forces. The Nun is the Bishop's body guard. Thanks for the kind words Von Lucky!

While the nuns seemed a bit on the 'pulp' side to me, and not sure why, the group suggests a lot of fun.
We'll argue later whether 'good' or 'bad' guys. lol

Papal Engineer! The fig is an old Citadel cleric. I purchased it in the 90s and it sat unpainted for decades. I found this mini while looking for Frostgrave candidates, I originally thought to make it a Thaumaturge. The rope belt made me change my mind. One of the knots resembled a wrench so I painted it that way and made a section of the rope belt look like copper wire. The inspiration was the character of Friar Carl from the Van Helsing movie.
Beast, yes the nuns could easily be Pulp or any period from the 1870's to the present. Indeed a classic nun's habit differs little from its counterpart in the Middle ages. The only thing that specifically dates the two nuns shown are the revolver and kerosene lamp.

Ooohh... I thought it said "Paypal" Engineer... excellent work none the less :D.

Could be; he's quite clever at pre-invention, and keeps reminding folks that he's 'a friar', which seems to allow him to curse and enjoy a little slap-and-tickle. Has also so far missed the vow of poverty? :? :o lol

That figure is the original Talisman Monk character from around 1983.
-
And, if like any of the other Talisman, worth a small fortune. :o
You should stick to my Mage Knight! ;D
Just teasing; I've a small horde that isn't being sold any time soon. He is PERFECT for Karl.
Only question left is: who will be the grateful barmaid? ;)

The Talisman miniatures are worth something? I have a few of those in boxes somewhere. I purchased them in the mid to late 80s.

*shrug* Dunno now, they were King's Ransom for awhile...

No, they are actually worthless pieces of junk lead. If you send me them all, I can properly dispose of them for you, since I have some professional background in dealing with hazardous metals! ;)
And of course no fee at all. Everything for the health of fellow LAFers! 8)

Unless well painted, then send to ME.
Takes a proper set of skills to prepare those for disposal. Then I'll send them to dinohunterpoa.
Someday... lol
