Title: Foundry 28mm German Paratrooper Heavy Weapons pack ?
Post by: bobblezbob on 26 April 2017, 02:30:36 PM
Hi, I wonder if someone can help please ?
I've just finished painting up the above figures and getting ready to base them. There is a figure kneeling, clutching a thin, box like object to his chest. Can anyone identify this object for me please  ? I'm wondering if this figure is integral to the pair of figures lying prone firing the MG42 and needs to be on the base with them or if he is a 'stand alone' figure and can be based by himself ?
I've done a Google search for images to see what other people have done but have come up blank.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards

Looks like he's holding a magazine for the Panzerbüchse 39. Goes with the anti-tank rifle guy in that case.

Many thanks Keith,
Is that what that alternate weapon to be carried is ! You can tell WW2 is not my speciality.
I bought some of the figures from this pack loose on Ebay but the relevant figure and Panzerbuchse 39 weren't included - I'll have to hang fire on basing my kneeling figure until I can pick up the other figure (good job I've got a WANTS thread running for the Foundry range  ;))
