Ahead of a game planned in late summer, I've painted up Hawkmoon and Oladahn from Michael Moorcock's novels. Each participant in the game will bring one of the incarnations of the Eternal Champion plus a companion.

Hawkmoon is a Citadel sculpt from their 1985 Eternal Champion range. Oladahn (the small hairy 'giant') is a conversion from the more recent Citadel Lord of the Rings range.
More words and pics over at my blog (http://magpieandoldlead.blogspot.co.uk/2017/04/the-jewell-in-skull-hawkmoon-and-oladahn.html?m=1).

Oladahn came out fantastic! I've been looking for a decent mini to represent him since ages, but sadly I lack your skills in converting minis.
-
Well, if you are asking yourself "didn't know that Citadel Elric series model" and after you read it's a conversion I guess you can say you succeeded. Big time lol.
Love the conversion, love both paintjobs.

Indeed. Those are lovely miniatures and both are painted in fashion that is way beyond my ability. The Hawkmoon miniature i painted somewhere late eighties partly done in enamel paint. It is still one my faves. ;-)

Thanks all! I'm pretty pleased with how they both turned out, Oladahn was fun to make, but he took ages to come up with a solution (I looked at lots of dwarfs and halflings initially).

Very sharp work indeed - and I'd never have guessed Oladahn was a conversion, let alone based on a recent GW LotR model! :D

the Oladahn conversion is excellent - is it based on the orc tracker?
edit: nvm, I'm blind...saw the link to your blog.
