I was a bit late getting the photos taken. By this time the front line of the Egyptians had mostly evaporated, their AT guns had been knocked out (3 empty gun pits on left flank) and their heavy mortars and AA had lost half their number due to IDF 155mm SP arty. The Egyptian tanks in the land between the trenches were chewed up mercilessly by the Ishermans and Magach3, which provided covering fire and picked off the Egyptian reinforcements as they moved up from the town. However the Egyptian infantry were quite stubborn in defence and their Recoiless Rifles did quite a bit of damage, along with the ZIS and BS100mm AT guns which knocked out all the IDF AMX13s, the Super Shermans, and made toast of the DEFA half tracks and 20mm HT as they tried to move up. It took about 3 evenings to get to the stage in the photos as the Israeli commanders decided to err on the side of caution after that and only advanced with covering fire from Ishermans and Magach3's, so it was called a draw. We were also running low on smoke by then as so many were ablaze :D
