Hiya all,
Happy bank holiday!
I'm thinking of shoehorning my current 15mm dabblings into the original Rogue Trader fluff. Other than the rule book and the 2 chaos books, where else can I look? Is that what's in the compendiums? If any experts could give me a reading list I'd be very grateful. Having started 40k with second edition I'm keen to 'unlearn' some of the later fluff.

Not an expert but from the top of my head there is:
The Compendium - mostly Imperial stuff and some vehicle stuff
The Compilation - bit more imperial stuff and Eldar and Genestealers
The Book of The Astronomicon - Wolftime campaign and a bit about various Pirates iirc
Ere we Go - This and the next one are obviously all about Space Orks
Waaagh the Orks

Most of the fluff is in the Rulebook, but the compendium has a fair bit two, re Baba campaign, etc.

Excellent, thanks - I'll try and find the compendium next. Appreciate it.

Sent you a pm.

Its worth noting that the Book of The Astronomicon is the only one that ties in with original rule book fluff and the fluff there is different to later stuff in the other books.

Thanks Jon, that's exactly what I wanted to know - Dijit's kinldy helped me out with a couple of bits but I'll focus on those two books to begin with.
Smashing.

The Book of The Astronomicon Army lists are eclectic to say the least the Imperial guard are called the imperial army and include squats, jet bikes and all sorts great fun though.
The latter books introduce army lists closer to more current 40K fluff with Guard, squats and Eldar. Also worth noting that Chaos doesn't appear in the earliest version of 40k until the Realms of Chaos books introduce the Horus Hersey.

I got all the books at the time, apart from the Book of the Astronomican. Last year I found a PDF of it and absolutely love it. I think it's the best supplement for actual Rogue Trader, a real eye opener.

I hear if you go on Scribd and search for them in documents you can find a lot of these books as pdf's. ::)
