Hello Lead Adventurers,
My name is Cedric Lemitre and I am the boss of a new miniatures company named Smart Max.
We are pleased to introduce you to our 1/35 "retro-SF" Characters at www.smartmaxblog.com (http://www.smartmaxblog.com)
We are currently working on two ranges of Characters :
Mauser Earth : the dystopian chronicles of a weird Great War involving super heroes, magic and robots.
Smog : a steampunk fantasy set in the Victorian London.
Our first miniatures will be released later on this month at www.smartmaxstore.com (http://www.smartmaxstore.com)
Until then, new Characters will appear on the blog at leat twice a week.
Best Regards,
Smart Max Cedric

Very nice sculpts. Unfortunately not a scale I'm interested in but good luck nonetheless.
-
Yeah if these were 28mm, I'd be all over 'em.

Not wanting to sound like a broken record, but I'd have to agree with everyon else - absolutely beautiful minis, but I can't be doing with starting a new scale at my age...
-
Fantastic miniatures from some of my favourite sculptors, and what superb subjects, but that scale ... :?
Anyway, I will continue to check what's coming up in this range and let the sculpts inspire me! :)

Agreed. Sorry :'(
-
Shame about the scale :(
-
Very original concepts and some very nice sculpts. Unfortunately, I must agree with my comrades here in that they are too large for my tastes, but they're still beautiful pieces, and I wish you all the luck in the world!

These are excellent sculpts. ;D
Your Mauser Earth project sounds promising as well. :-*
But why that 1/35 scale?
-
My lord, those are just great! If only they were 28mm! Can I ask why the choice in scale? Just curious. Does the scale add something to this game in particular?

There's a lot of plastic available in 1/35... I guess for some small skirmish action it wouldn't be too much of an investment to get into. But then there's terrain... hmmm. Looking forward to seeing more, but the 1/35 thing has me a bit boggled too :)
Best of luck!

I'll add another "nice, but in a totally useless scale" comment.
-
I dabble my toes in The Nile in 1/32 scale so maybe I could get some use out of some of them.
-
Lovely miniatures, I like your ideas. Unfortunate choice of scale though. If only they were 28mm.
-
This is why you do Market Research before product releases I guess.
Still, I think it's an interesting area to develop into. Again, looking forward to seeing where this is going.
-
To echo the others - Really nice models but I'll not be buying any unless they shrink to 28mm.
-
Ditto! :(
-
I won't be gaming with them, but I tend to buy miniatures of excellent quality regardless of scale. I game with 28's but I have various 40mm and 54mm figures that I've painted up just to display. These are very nice.
-
Quite nice, and best of wishes! I agree with dandiggler. Just cause we all game with 28mm doesn't mean we don't wanna paint up beautiful miniatures. ;)
-
From a wargaming perspective, I would have preferred to see these in 30mm/'heroic 28mm' to go with a project I'm doing in slow time. However, I tend to agree with bako and dangiggler in that just because these ate a different scale ite doesn't meen I'm not interested in them - some of these would make great painting projects and I expect some of the monsters would be useable in 28mm too.

As I said, they are nice, but not being 28mm counts them out for me. I don't have the time (and struggle to get the inclination) to paint the figs I game with. While I have in the past bought nicely sculpted figs so that I can paint them, it's never happened, and I again stick to 28mm so that I can use them if I want to.
I really wish I enjoyed painting and was good enough at it to do showcase pieces (I suspect the two go together, if you enjoy it, you get good at it) but I just can't.
