As part of the Devon Wargames Group support for Legionary 2017 we ran two games at the show, one of which included the Casa de Salinas scenario using Over the Hills Napoleonic rules.

Looks like fun time was had by all. :)
How did OtH play compared to the scenario with C&G ?

Thanks chaps.
Hi Mark - OTH is similar and quite different to C&G. The similarity lies in the application of fatigue to limit what units and brigades can do over the length of a battle and if you keep pushing with the same formations they will break, which forces you to think of reserves. If neither side has a reserve then it comes down to who breaks first.
I am more familiar with how C&G models this concept and can guage how forces will work in given situations. With OTH I am still learning, hence the play test. Which has informed how I will develop this to the next draft.
I think probably where C&G has an advantage is with the larger the game gets the advantages the computer has to offer increases. Talavera 208 should demonstrate that when we get going next month. That said I have enjoyed the games I have played using OTH and am having fun adapting scenarios to use with them.
Cheers

Great looking game as usual JJ, looking forward to the big game reports. Will have to sort out a Black Powder scenario for this action as I have the 3rd Division in my collection.
