The completion of the Siguenza Militia Regiment completes the seven battalions that made up General Bassecourt's 5th Spanish Infantry Division.

With just a Spanish Horse battery and Generals Bassecourt and Cuesta to complete this three year project is reaching its ultimate conclusion which will be the first of several games recreating the afternoon attack by French Imperial troops on the afternoon of the 28th July at Talavera with all the units involved represented at a scale of 1:30 figures/men.
If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's to see more about the Siguenza and the other things to come on the blog.

Thanks Aly,
Well when there is something you have to do you've just got to get on with it. I have been thinking about doing this game for about forty years and I am not sure I have another forty to keep on thinking about it, so better to do it take the pictures and have no regrets. ;)
There is method in the madness in that I end up with a collection that should only require a few additions to be able to game just about any other Peninsular War battle going forward, plus the odd campaign and with retirement looming it sets things up for lots more fun.
Cheers
JJ
