The course set out with the Jet bikes in their starting positions.

Daughter's bike had a pretty commanding lead as she finished her first lap... but could she hold onto that lead!?
(Check out the blog to find out)

All smiles at the top of the game...
"Amanda was not entirely enthusiastic about this turn of luck. " Later, no so much... lol
Couldn't have helped that she was the target, twice, at the front end of the race. Fair's fair, both were to her advantage.
Okay, except for the 'mumming', grins all around. REALLY delightful game AND thrilling to see a couple of younglings for a few minutes without electronics in their hands.
Makes me want to visit the daughter and grandchildren.

Edit: "I have a pair of old Citadel 40k jet bikes from the 80s..." Reminds me of an old shop's (I'm part owner of the current iteration) just-post-RT event always popular during game days. Had both flyers and buggies, so rules were a LITTLE more complicated. Flyers were faster, but more fragile.

That's a great looking table. And it's a good way to get a new game with minimal outlay by re-using whatever terrain you already have and just investing in a few jetbike miniatures.

Thanks Everybody!
HERBIE!!!!!!

I do try to make all my terrain as generic as possible for maximum reusability! Those buildings have been used from Africa to Afghanistan and many back-water planets that the furthest from the bright center of the universe.
