A quick, easy and cheap terrain idea I whipped up last night. The posts are slotted at the top. The plan is to print a force field on clear acetate and slide it into place.

$4 gets you a hundred of them. Prime black, paint with Gun Metal, dry brush with Chainmail.

Really clever, I like it! How are they for weight though? I'd possibly consider basing them on washers or similar, something with a bit more heft, or maybe stick them to a small hex nut, and then that on the base.
After all, hexagons = the future ;)

Very nicely done. Dollar and hardware stores aren't safe from us.

That works. Nice one.

Cool idea! Thanks for sharing.
Also, Coat d'Arms paints - my favourite! :)

Very cool Idea. I have a tonne of those in various nick nack boxes around the house from shelving units etc that haven't required them.

Cool idea
But how are planning to fix the force field on the towers?

You can't see it very clearly in the photos, but if they're like the ones I have, they have a slot that runs down the upper half of the plug. You should be able to just slide a sheet of acetate or plastic or whatever in there and have it stay up as long as it's not too tall.

That is exactly my plan: acetate sheets slid in to the slot. Should have pics later today.
