Our most ambitious Advanced Song of Blades and Heroes skirmish yet inspired my most involved blog post. As usual, scores of evocative photos from my wonderful wife, a short video, all of the special scenario rules and tables I developed, and stats for all five (!) warbands. It was our first time playing with a referee controlling some of the non-player units, and I share some reflections on that, too.
Grateful to hear what people think!

Looks a great game - and that's a terrific scenario.
Your system for handling reactions in a multiplayer game seems eminently sensible. Did you get a lot of ties and rerolls, though?

Yep, a few ties/rerolls...but it all goes very fast and actually ratchets up the tension a bit. And the rolling for reactions is a nice way to keep everybody engaged the entire time while they're waiting for their turn to come back around.
