Neat building! I've been working on some classic English half-timbered buildings mostly for English Civil War gaming, but also considering adding a few pieces to update the setting to the interwar/pulp era, similar to what you've done here.

Nice paint job on the roof.

Are the ridge tiles some form of putty with cuts to show seperate tiles, they look well.

The petrol pump looks fine to me for an English garage. The French one looks fantastic but, well, very French ;) :)

it was just that in a country garage, i did not expect to see a "modern" ( electrical) pump ... the ones in my post are frenchies, but in this rural garage, i was expecting a manual gas pump  ;)

Good point - I hadn't thought of that :? Maybe not quite like that French one which is truly magnificent but you're right - manual seems to be most likely....

It is rural Shropshire, dear boy, not the back of beyond. Although trying to get a phone signal, I do wonder at times  :D

Looks just like a garage we used to stop at back in the 1970s on the North Walsham Road in Bacton, Norfolk. Grimes Garage if I remember correctly. It was a timewharp back to the 30/40s :)

Having just done a couple of Warbases orders I've been tempted by their little garage/workshop building.

The stucco finish on that one looks great - how did you do it?
