OK, you know, we want an unique Forum fig. Read for more information and excellent drawing of Eric Roof - http://forum.backofbeyond.de/viewtopic.php?t=1006
This pool is for the sculptor choice. I don't know if the guys want make a comission for us but i would like to know who you prefer
-
Mike Owen! Mike Owen! Mike Owen! Mike Owen!
The Thrilling Tales range has got to be one of my favourite ranges ever!
-
Who's Todd Harris? What figures did he made?
-
Bob Murch with no contest, i like the other but Mr murch's figures incarnate for me, what a figure' pulp must be.
Chien sauvage
-
Iam also for Bob.
He started everything with Pulp.

Can we add Ochmann to the list? He's a member, he's a sculptor, and he does guys with beards really well.

Thanks. Still it's hard for me to get an idea how he'd do a Pulp figure...
-
If whoever wins this poll would be willing to take on the commission there is no way the members of this forum would lose out. All are great sculptors. I look forward to seeing who will be contacted.
-
hey just an idea :
Can you ask all the sculptors to realize a mini for us ? :
One "Adventurer" Prof
One "Mad Doktor" Prof
One "Zombie" Prof
and One "Cavemen" Prof
Isn't it a good idea ?

a really great idea but it's very very expensive one too :)

why no Richard Ansell?
-
yes, Richard Ansell is great, he did very nice work on the Frothers Asylum minis.
Added him to the pool. For the people who dont knwo Richards work, chek it out, some of the winners are from him:

btw, congratulation to your first post :-)
-
take all sculptor and I will give more monny to you Prof (or build terrain for free  )
but after all I cant say Todd Harris or Bob Murch or Mark Copplestone they are all good so no choice from me
-
why no Richard Ansell?
Is this guy somehow akin to Bryan Ansell? :D

not really

Todd's other work includes War Gods of AEgyptus Asar spears and hand weapon units, Basti (males) Khemru (rams) the animals, Lots of character models, some Heru (Horus) and all the Spartan stuff for olympus.
He has also done several pieces for reaper and has just done some Pirates for Warmachine, as seen on their home page with previews.
He also did these early on, including the 'not' Lara Croft
(http://www.conquestminiatures.com/images/500nations/Woodland%20Indians/reaper.jpg)
I admit I voted for Copplestone though as I think he's most experienced in the 'pulp' style, but I think that they can all pull it off in varying degrees.
-
They are all very good choices, but I voted for Josef.Only because I want him to do more minis, he's been absent for far to long.
-

Well Another Idea in the same way : One fig and one sculptor per year ;)
-
Copplestone sounds good too me, but My vote went to Bob Murch. He is after all the daddy of pulp
-
Tough choice, but I chosed Mike Owen. I also really like Copplestone, but Mike made so many great Figures lately, that i had to chose him...
-
I had to go with the Thrilling Tales man too, such great stuff.
-
I know we are pretty far with our poll, but the people from wyrd miniatures
do a pretty cool job:
The sculpture is Edgar Ramos - he might be a little bit cheaper than the
established ones.
-
The Wyrd sculpts are very pretty but a bit too rackham-confrontation-like. I think we need a classical gaming mini, easy to paint and not too strange :)
-
I´d certainly prefer an Owens/Copplestone-style sculpt, that´ll blend in far easier with the popular Pulp ranges than that pesky Frenchie stuff.
-
I'm a bit surprised not seeing Kevin White of Hasslefree on the list. Although he has a slight tilt towards the future/zombie setting I am sure he coul and would make an exquisite forum miniature.
-
My vote has to go to Mark Copplestone. After all, he did name the period. However, the bulk of my Pulp figures come from Bob Murch. I would not have Pulp Armies with them.
-
I think the ides was to find a scultor who has done miniatures for pulp gaming with lots of practice behind him/her.
I think Kev White is a great sculptor but I woudln't have wanted to see him do the mini. I think his style doesn't fit. Copplestone, Owens and Murch were the best choices I think.
We'll wait and see what the final model looks like.
