Title: Links for 1/350 miniature aircraft?
Post by: Elbows on 11 June 2017, 05:00:07 AM
A buddy of mine and I are considering making up a naval/aircraft wargame set around 1979-1980.  So I figured I'd stop here and see if you guys can link me to the best companies for 1/350th scale aircraft.

We'll be using a hex'ed mat, perhaps 2" hexes and while model size isn't super relevant I'd like to stay in the 1/300-1/350th scale if possible (making use of some of the excellent Tamiya kits for model aircraft carriers, etc.)

Suggestions?  All I've seen so far is Ad Astra which basically stopped making stuff and Corsair Armada which looks like multi-part resins?

I like the Tamiya US Navy Aircraft Set No.1 & 2 and Trumpeter stuff.

The Trumpter range:

Not sure the best place to purchase (it's so cheap I just buy in the local hobby store).

Definitely Trumpeter.

Those seem to be the two ones I ran into most.  My concern now is I'm looking for some older aircraft now (particularly carrier based).  Thanks for the heads up!
