Bit of a head start as I have begun this force.
The Plan;
14 units of foot, 13 infantry and (each unit 10 figures strong) a unit of light bowmen and 2x 5 figure units of cavalry plus leaders and characters.
I have 4 units finished (pictures later) . The forces are a mix of Gripping Beast, Footsore and Saxon Miniatures
so for this I am aiming for 20 minis a week (I am trying to catch up with other guys who have figures already painted) rules to be used Sword and Spear sold through Great Escape Games
At the moment I am in the swing and lead fever managing to paint 40 figures in 15 days :D

Fine painting.
Love this period.

Amazing progress Karl :o

Well, managed to crack on, but have flagged in August finishing off 1 unit of 10, pleased though with progress. 10 units of foot done so 100 rank and file, 10 skirmishers on 2 bases of 5 and 3 command stands each of 3 figures.
That leaves only 3 units of foot. 2 units of 5 cavalry and a couple of command stands one a Christian priest the other Druids and finally a mounted general/ These will I think be a slow burn :)

Bloody Hell - you have been busy Karl :o
What a fabulous - and rapidly assembled - collection! :-*

Many thanks Richard, i really enjoyed painting them, got into a real routine churning them out but have lost steam this month. I think the remainder will be more akin to a unit a month or so. Especially as i have been a butterfly painting all sorts the last 3 weeks.
-
Great progress there :-*
-
After 4 month Hiatus I finally got 3 more units finished, only 19 miniatures to go then I can call this done :D

Great looking army.

I finished painting the army on January 2nd with completing the general and Last Unit of Cavalry together with the Druid Base, however basing them took until the 6th
Finally done and pleased that they are finished the last 1/4 of figures were a chore ;D

Congratulations! they look great!
-
That is a great looking army. Well done!
But is an army ever really finished?
-
Many thanks gents, :) I am calling it done, luckily my group of fellow gamers have moved onto other periods so the force I have will match in terms of the rules anything opponents may have so I can rest easy and avoid the lure of new lead ;D
Finishing my Maori off which was another project with only 70 or so models to complete and trying to tweak This very ground rules to fit the 1846-47 campaign

Well done Karl. :-* :-*
Its a lovelly army.
