Title: Finished Mounted Militia
Post by: kingsmt on 25 June 2017, 09:48:10 AM
I managed to finish one of the Mounted Militia conversions. I'm happy with it.

Lovely stuff, I am in awe o_o

What's the "tree" made out of (i.e. which type of dried flower). It looks particularly good as the plant between the horse (and the twisted logs are pretty damn good too).

Lucky,   Right !Those are dried flowers from craft stores. I dip them in a solution of black/brown/green ink and iso alcohol for color.
I then rub the buds between my fingers to get rid of most of the flowers. The ink locks them together.

Then I soak them in matte medium thinned with water (about 30 % water) to seal it all in. 2 minutes is about right.
I sometimes sprinkle flock on at this point, if I want a different effect or color.

That's it.
