Good choice on the company.  Foundry has some of the nicest looking minis I have seen.  Most companies that are on here do a wonderful job on thier sculpts as well too.  Cant wait to see some pics of these scurvy dogs when you get them going.

Foundry models are very good choices for pirates - I also can recommend Black Cat BAses pirates - the heads are a touch large, and the feet lack definition if they aren't wearing boots, but they have appropriate clothing and very good movement for the models' poses.

Try here to find the pirates at Foundry.

And here for Black Cat Bases:

And I alos like the Warhammer Free Company for making my own pirates - I know, I am building a Warhammer Empire army of Pirates.
Gratuitous link to some of them here: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=8918.15
They are about halfway down the page.

Hello,
Good question : I have the same... I've bought some conquistadors for another project few years ago and last week I've bought some Black Scorpion (their girls  have made eyes at me). But I see that Foundry doesn't mix so well with BS. What kind of miniatures mixes with the BS ?

Hi,

Our figures mix well with Black Scorpion. Foundry are alot smaller, more like 25mm in some cases (or 28mm to top of head rather than to eye!)

Yes, go Black Cat Bases and Black Scorpion (it's what I did). Best pirate figures I can think of. *double thumbs up*

I agree with cianty. Black Cat and Black Scorpion get my vote. Foundry are more 25mm - all great, but a bit smaller.

Foundry & Dixon mix really well together And so do the Old Glory regular pirates. The Old Glory army club collection & Redoubt size up fairly well with the Black Cat & BS. Eureka & Artizan are some what in between. If you mix enough a few bigger guys don't look out of place with some smaller ones. I have a little of just about everything.
