Bit new to this, anybody played these rules, and can give me a heads up as to if they're wot I'm after?

it may be worth tracking down the Winter of '79 Facebook group and asking on there, as I believe they are essentially the same as the LOTFL W79 rules. Also the author might spot the request!
(I'm leaning towards Combat Patrol but haven't yet tried them out for this. Maybe Chris from Sally 4th might jump in as he's working on a WG demo gane for Partizan using CP)

I think that both sets of rules work well. We are developing a set of scenarios based on Wild Geese. We have made all of the scenery for the 3 main locations. Barracks, Bridge, Airfield. When scenarios are finished we will make them available as a free download from web site.
We have a 20% sale on Combat Patrol this month (as it's Buck's birthday), so 2 player set with rules, cards etc is reduced to £22.40. Their is a free download for Falklands War and Winter of Discontent and a video review from Wargames Illustrated on our Combat Patrol page. http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Combat-Patrol (http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/Combat-Patrol)
