As the topic says, I'm looking for a source to buy Star Wars Tie Fighter helmets for 28mm minis.
Are there any available?
I know there was a thread here about where to buy at least Stormtrooper helmets, but I can't find that anymore :?
Thanks

I've used WotC TIE-pilot helmets for conversions before. Sculpting on those ranges was all over the place, with some being smallish and others huge.
The TIE pilot happens to be really 'uge, and the helmets are large anyway, so work pretty well.
They don't go with heroically scaled minis though.
The pilots can still be found for as little as a bit of change with some sellers.
I've succesfully used the US based Troll and Toad in the past for cheap WotC minis...

I have quite a few of them, as I was playing the game quite a lot, so no problem with these ;)
Was just wondering if there are any seperate ones available somewhere so I wouldn't need to cut the WotC one to pieces.

They look a lot like 40K space marine helmets of one mk or another. I'd guess if you could find a bunch of mk IV helmets you would be in good shape.

Not a bad idea, but I think before I would get me those I would chop up some of my WotC minis ;)
But thanks none the less.

Make a press mould and don't cut loads of minis up?

Sure, pressmolding is an option as well ;)

Honestly, it should be THE option. I don't see anything wrong with copying parts of a miniature you own, to do conversions of other miniatures you own. That's not unethical, it's "hobby skills". Cutting up OOP figures just to get helmets is going to cost you way too much.

Well call me lazy, but for me, it was worth the $ 0,56 a piece at the time... lol

Well, for me THE option would be to get some nicely casted resin/metal ones with great detail ;)
Honestly, cutting up some minis wouldn't cost me anything right now, cause I have those allready for years gathering dust in some boxes.

Hey Com,
What of a source for separate Stormtrooper yells?
Then you could do the minimal conversion work needed to turn em into TIE helmets.

Dreamforge Eisenkern troopers with helmet conversions?

Stormtrooper helmets could work as well ;)
Any source where to get them?
Dreamforge Eisenkern troopers with helmet conversions?
Was also wondering about the Eisenkern helmets, have to check out how they fit sizewise with the minis I want to use.
