Title: Terrain maker extraordinaire - Luke Towan
Post by: AndrewBeasley on July 23, 2017, 05:54:20 PM
Technically these are dioramas and would not stand the day to day battering of a game but for inspiration can I direct you to Luke Towan and his videos on his YouTube playlists (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjRkUtHQ774mTg1vrQ6uA5A/playlists)

The biggest missing item is an explanation of why the railway folk have such poorly detailed figures...  Having said that though what he does to the sheep in this one (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGKmhmo79zw#t=1363.292060534) is interesting (and legal) lol

As normal- its worth watching to the end for the odd blooper...

The videos are almost worth watching just for the relaxing quality of them, his video on wire trees inspired me to have a go myself, adapting it a bit for what materials I had to hand.

Agree with the relaxing effect.

Now if I could stop being wound up when my attempt to follow his ideas and techniques looks like a car wreck that went over a cliff into a wood chopper that was blown up by the army testing a new bomb then my life would be complete(r) :)
