Very interesting blog post. I much prefer the older helmet and the increased size of the model does make it more suitable for ornate freehand.
-
I love that scheme!
-
Reminds me of the command set scheme.
Well painted.
-
A Primaris in primary colours - classic and classy! B)
-
Thanks chaps!

Hmmm not keen on the bright colour scheme for the bolter it looks like a plastic Supersoaker water gun. But great painting!
-
Have the new "bolt-rifles" got accessory rails on the top?
Still have not got used to the new names, in my day they were bolt pistol, bolt rifle, support bolter, heavy bolter....

Thanks for the comments! :)

Bolters are red.... I don't make the rules!

They do.... but the scope isn't attached to them. It looks a bit stupid to be honest and I'll probably cut the scope off any future Primaris marines.

You could just make the plates/furniture red, the scope/front sight/rail could be a different colour (black-grey, gunmetal, black etc)

Or leave the sight and remove the front sight.

Looks great and I love how the new era model wouldn't look out of place with that paint job back in '92. :-*

Looking good, sir.
I love the freehand and that new bolter wotsit looks so much better with a stock.

Looking forward to chopping one of these new fellas up later in the week.
