Gateway to wargaming for Grandsons 1 and 2. They love it.

Cool!
Drag 'em in while they're still young and malleable! lol
Great looking army too. I didn't know the Vedros products were even available still...

Found the Vedros stuff on Amazon from a third-party seller, discounted and free shipping, so it was a no-brainer.
And there's no 'dragging' to it - they absolutely have a blast.
Terrain-wise, I found some Micro Art Studios hard foam terrain on eBay. A quick paint job and it should stand up to the general wear-and-tear. I also purchased a hex mat to make range and movement easier. I decided to make a separate set just for them, and it'll all go in a big box they can use any time they want. Anything to ease them into the fun and give me an excuse to paint more toy soldiers.
Next in the queue are two HQ markers, banner poles that will act as Objectives in 'Capture the Flag' type games. See if I can't introduce them to the idea of attacking while defending - instead of the regular old 'brawl in the middle'.
Glad you like the figs. They look decent even with my fast and dirty pjs.

Very good! :)
If you want some hard-wearing and suitably Gothic buildings, Pegasus Hobbies did whole range of them for reasonable prices. They were modular too; so you can make big, or small, or multi-tiered scenic peices as you wish.
This sort of thing:

Oh, thanks Major. Those look perfect. *heads off to eBay*

Looks like you did a great job painting that set up. I bet they love it.
You'll have to post some battle reports when you get some games in with them.
-
Pictors - I'm finishing up the HQ Banners this weekend, so I'll get pix/bat reps next time around.
And I love the Pegasus Hobbies stuff but price and availability are ridiculous at the moment. Might go with Mantic Battlezones or some such.

The prices of the Pegasus Hobbies stuff varies wildly, and more so here in the UK. No idea why, as it was supposed to be cheap (and it was when it was released originally). :?
The Mantic stuff's also a good bet though, good call. :)
GW still sell their Ruins of Osgiliath kits (and do a pack of three for a minor discount); whilst not especially Gothic, it's still decent value and robust game-friendly terrain. Maybe worth a look? ???
