These are the new TVAG Mean Sets.

Like all their paper terrain it's a PDF or printed sheets that are mailed to you. Quality is decent, but not as high as the Worldworks stuff.

I have one of their buildings that, when mounted to foamcore, looks pretty good.

i really like the idea of these and would love to get them. But I can't justify the price when compared to the price of the WWG stuff which is amazing in quality.
Maybe TVAG could offer them cheaper as a PDF download? i don't really know whats involved so I have no idea how feasible that is.

Sorry this may seem daft but is there somewhere you can get a copy of old wallpaper/ carpet/ tiles etc and print your own. then mount onto foam board as usual. You could then run thin balsa strips around for skirting door frames etc.
We could start our own pool of samples for people to use.
It was just a thought( I haven't looked for any myself yet).
I am going to do a mansion for my VSF and doing it the way I suggested was my first route.

Fritzy: That's on my VERY long list of things to do. I've already got a brick pattern PDF on the Yahoo group. You can print it out, glue it to foam core and then all you have to worry about are doors and windows.

there are lots of paper buildings "out there", although almost all only with patterns (wood, brick, metal etc) for the outside.

lots of medival stuff here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fpm/archive

And for other patterns: the picture search of google is great for that. Looking for arabic rugs?

looking for wallpaper?

http://images.google.de/images?svnum=10&hl=de&rlz=1B2GGGL_deDE175&q=tapete&btnG=Suche

from there on it´s a bit of work with a good graphics program. I do my stuff with PaintshopPro, good enough for me

I've got the first set of these and they're pretty cool.  They're made to mount over foamcore walls so they're quite sturdy.  The detailing is nice too.  As with so many of my projects, I haven't gotten around to totally finishing them or using them, but I do intend to.

This place does some really nice period wallpaper and tiling. It's for dolls' houses but I don't think the scale is too far out
