Title: Judy Drood - Girl Detective
Post by: Heldrak on March 26, 2009, 01:35:44 PM
I'm a big fan of the illustrator Richard Sala, and one of his greatest creations is "Judy Drood - Girl Detective":

I decided to paint up a figure based on Judy and here's what I came up with:

Nice paint job!  I'm familiar with Sala, but hadn't seen this comic - thanks for sharing.

Nice paint job!  I'm familiar with Sala, but hadn't seen this comic - thanks for sharing.

It was originally published in the now-OP "Black Cat Crossing", which has some of Sala's best early work IMHO.

Judy Drood also appears in some of Sala's later, longer work but none of her later appearances have the comedic punch of the original...

Very nice work, Heldrak :)  I really like the texture on her suit, and although I don't know the comic, the likeness looks pretty good.
