Greatstuff..I keep wanting to start a Imagination of my own.
-
Do it!
It's lots of fun. It's worth it for the trash talk alone between "countries" on our club Facebook page.

Keep us posted on how this goes.

Umbongo... great name
-
Indeed. Our club ran an AK-47 campaign set in UmBongo some years ago. Good times with my Separatist National Armoured Farmers Union, a colonial power/settlers force in AK-47 terms, taking over the good bits of the country. To hold on to them, they then set up a destabilization force to occupy the other factions. It was called Mobile UmBongan Field Force.
Half the fun, after all, are the faction names and the acronyms.

Great looking game and figures. Truly an enjoyable "period" to play.

Umbongo... great name
Yep, nothing like a good name that draws on all the typical tropes of casual racism but obviously in a knowing, post-modernist and sooo not racist manner. ::)
-
Um, or it could just be the name of a juice drink in the UK...
I think you need a figure in one of these:

Not a product distributed locally. Maybe the OP likes to imbibe exotic and privately imported children's drinks, in which case I offer my unreserved apology.

Then there's this....

I was thinking of the drink, nearly uploaded a similar as a camo pattern suggestion...
That said, clearly no multiculturalism in Bongo land, heart of darkness and all that..!
-
Thanks Guys.
Well the official name of my country is:
The Democratic Republic of Umgunnahidabongo but the locals shorten it to UmBongo.

Great stuff, I am pulling together a loose themed campaign for players in an imaginations middle east, Geordiestan, trying to get various players involved. It pits them against umpire controlled insurgents etc, so far we have Brits, Yanks, Canadians, Russians and Chinese forces. It is fun making things up. I will be sure to follow and watch how yours progresses and pinch ideas too ;D
-
@Lowtardog. As a fellow Geordie, I think Geordiestan would be a cool place to visit. 8)
Oh, and you're right, Geordie Land IS God's country. :-*
Good luck with your campaign! :D
