Just one question, do you order directly to Reaper or do you have an european dealer ?

Best laid plans.... never ended up getting this one but had a question about size. Is this more in line with Copplestone's DA stuff? Or small enough to use with the Foundry DA stuff?
-Todd

he is a bit on the big side like Copplestone but i think not too much

Brilliant work, Prof!
Surely it won't matter if he's a bit bigger - he's the king!
-
I've had this mini sitting in my lead heap for a while, but seeing it painted up is quite inspiring! Nice work!
-
Very cool. I've never seen any gaming application for all these throne-sitters though.
-
Wow! Love the African fleshtones. They are very smooth. Mind sharing your skin recipe?
-
Fabulous brushmanship, a master at work.

very easy, Plaka Brown and Vallejo Ivory, ca. 6 layers
-
Beautiful... what a great encounter for a pulp adventure...
Will the explorers get thrown into the stew pot? :o
Alex what is Plaka brown... is Plaka a brand name of paints? I have never heard of them. Where can they be obtained? I can't find them listed anywhere here in the USA.
I am in need of painting similar fleshtones and yours are so well done! :)
-
Plaka from Pelikan, here is an american shop selling them:

Wow--thanks. I've been trying to find Plaka in the US forever. So you just hilite up from the brown in 6 layers adding the VP ivory?

True artistes do not lower themselves to writing common tutorials. It sullies their work. Insted they have a gaggle of critics and art historians following in their wake producing innumeral guides and treaties like "Light on Darkest Africa: the art of P. Witchheimer revealed"

OK, I'm a little late to this conversation - but WOW. I love that figure, and I love that paintjob. Wonderful, wonderful work.
-
That's awesome. That mini is also begging for a conversion into a palanquin
-
really splendid figure....really well painted

OMG!
:o :-*
All, choice of miniatures, composition and painting makes this a real piece of art.
Now, I'll scuttle and hide in shame under my bed, as I'll never paint to such standard.
-
A great figure.
Have had this guy in my lead pile for a number of years.
Maybe some day, or (year) lol I will get him painted.
Also thanks for showing off the finely painted one, love him.

Surprised to see that old topic risen from its grave :)
Thank you for the kind comments. This miniature is still one of my all-time-favorites.

I know, it was a bit of thread necromancy on my part - I apologize, but I couldn't resist commenting. :)
I think it's about as close to perfect as I've seen.
