Here's a picture of the first batch of Ironclad British infantry painted.
Since the campaign I'm planning takes place in Kent I chose to paint these as The Buffs.

10 down, 30 to go.

they really do look rather nice...
Damned good Painting there!

Ahh, Kent the garden of England :)
Very nice Mike, always good to see the thin red line. :)

Great stuff, very nice job. 8)

Then it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Tommy, 'ow's yer soul?"
But it's "Thin red line of 'eroes" when the drums begin to roll...
Great stuff! Can't wait to see them in action.

Nice work. I'm looking forward to seeing how well they do in your battles.

Very nice work indeed. When do you plan to give them their baptism of fire?

Thanks very much. I'm happy with the way they came out.
I'm just about done with the second half of this unit as well as 20 Royal Marine Light Infantry and 20 Sailors.
While they will see some trials and training over the next few weeks they will most decidedly be put to the test in late May at Kublacon. I'm hosting a five game campaign over the convention weekend that starts with a Prussian landing at Romney Marsh and will follow the fight through the countryside between the coast and London.
I'm attempting to keep track of the various preparations on my website:

An excellent campaign idea. Lets hope you manage to repel the Prussians just short of London as we did last year.
We haven't heard the last of them though, they are still massing down on the south coast. ;)
Looking forward to seeing some battle reports.

Those are done with the Wash system? rather than Dip?
-
Neither, I took my time with those. Washes and highlights over a base color.
-
Those look nice - think I'll go with Ironclad for my CIC treasure hunter warband (An exiled/retired/renegade/whatever British colonel with henchmen from his old regiment, and a few funny personalities thrown in....)

At the risk of "threadomancy" I saw some of these for the first time at Triples this weekend. They are superb castings and i would have loved to have been able to afford a couple of units. Sadly my financial state meant I could only buy the Officer/Tank commander figure plus some other figures from literary sources [I'm sure you know the ones lol].
Well done to Mr Ironcladman and I hope you can continue to release new VSF items for a long time.

They look fantastic Skrapwelder! I look forward to seeing more of the campaign.
