Anyone else see it? Thought Gregory had done an amazing job, table crowded all the time, Gregory looked stressed but happy. My Better Half was a little disturbed by the player telling his dice what he had to do next, somehow I seem more rational to her now. Anyway, really impressed with the table. :-*

It was fantastic :-*

agree there Lowtardog - I went back time and again and took dozens of pics. Very inspirational.

Just a few pics I took but only on the phone camera, I'm afraid. Still, they give a bit of a flavour of an exceptional game.

I love the lighting effects - were those for houses that had been taken over by the cultists?
I almost bought a pack of those ugly little LED fake tealight candles just after Christmas to use as lighting effects on the tabletop... cheaped out, and shouldn't have!

Would be facinating to hear what the scenario was, and how it played out? After action report, anyone play through and give us the blow-by-blow?

As a man with the rank of colonel in the Gloranthan Army (demoer for Innsmouth at Salute) I can try to explain. All the players lead a small squad and play against the town. Opposition is generated automatically (sometimes you generate it just in front of another squad next street, sometimes right in front of you). The more players have played on the table, the more there is opposition still wandering in the streets and buildings on fire. The rules manage the opposition's reaction. After a few turns the players are able to play solo and some players sometimes become demonstrators, which allow Greg to have more than 10 players playing at the same time while being the only demonstrator.
New players can join in anytime and leave anytime. Greg would give them a simple mission and they have to go somewhere to do something (more than 20 different missions). Players play at their own pace. They are free to cooperate and help each other. When their mission is over they can leave the game or start a new mission.
As a the game director Greg can also vary the intensity of the opposition on the table via the Alert Level. He can interrupt the game and give the players the same superceding mission. When a player has succeeded in this mission all go back to their previous mission. If there are enough veteran players on the table he can then bring "stronger opposition". A player will lead the FT-17 tank to fight it and that will be the final fight (at midday usually). Then we remove everything and start all over again.
