Lovely figures, but I hate gaming with pikemen using leveled weapons; very difficult to get a melee set up.

No need to roll to hit, to wound or saves: just mash 'em together and see whose pikemen stay intact. :)

Nice unit. Whose brand of yellow paint do you use?
Most yellows are very poor at coverage, I have found.

I managed to get hold of Palmers paints yellow, it's very bright and I tend to tone it down a little. Your right though yellows do need a lot of coats.

A very nice pike block indeed.  Some fine painting there.
