A little Nurgle daemon warband. To avoid the usual green palette, I went with a deathly pale skin, inspired by the thin weird guy in Pan's Labrynth.

Nice choice of palette, green for Nurgle troops starts to be a bit tiring.
-
like them a lot !
-
These are superb (it hardly needs saying!). That's a splendid palette for them too. I often think that the default painting of so many monsters green is quite limiting - not least because it removes one option for natural-looking clothing, and also because can reduce the contrast with basing and is just a flat-out unconvincing colour for anything that looks vaguely mammalian. There are exceptions, of course. Anyway, what a brilliant set of models! They do that ogre from Pan's Labyrinth proud!
-
Wow! These are lovely! What base colour did you use for the skin?
-
Frigging superb! Makes me regret doing mine in the piss-yellow I chose. Those are some of the best plaguebearers I've ever seen (and the colour choice is perfect!).
-
Those are DELIGHTFULLY revolting Horrors. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Wow! Suitably disgusting!.....in a good way! ;)
-
I think you made the right call on the colors - they look great!
-
yes, your metal-work is brilliant too.
really superb group.
-
Thanks guys, here's a close-up of the herald.

fantastic - love the sword! :o
-
Very nice indeed.
-
Great stuff!
-
Amazing work mate! :o
Keep posting your creations.
-
Jaw-dropping!
(And as we're talking of droppings, when he rises from that deep squat, I imagine he'll leave something awful - and animate - behind ...)
That really is an extraordinary paintjob, though. As others have said, the rusty sword alone is magnificent.
-
Disgustingly brilliant painting!
-
......and there goes breakfast! :o
-
Thanks guys, much appreciated. And now it's the flying beasties....notice that the musician's mount has a trumpet trunk ;)

A riot of vile colours and textures in this thread (awesome work on the big guy in particular) - loving it.
-
Fantastic! :o What are you planning for the wings? A couple of bloody washes?
-
Fantastically horrible work! (In a good way)
-
Wonderfully disgusting! I love the trunked creature in particular, but these are all great models brought to their peak by superb painting.
-
Thanks all. Loving painting up these foul little beasts - got some more plaguebearers (with a few twists) and the little nurgling chaps up next.
I think Noo Noo was my favourite too. :D
-
I feel genuinely ill in the best possible way. Amazing work
-
Apologies for not finding this before tonight - never really been a fan of chaos beyond Skaven but these have changed my mind :D
Having been wondering what to do with the 40K Nurgle figures from the starter set you have just solved it for me!
Great result for a disgusting set of troops.
-
Amazing!

Aaaaawwww, little cuties....

Eeeuuuuwww!!!! (That's a compliment! ;) )
-
You certainly nailed down how to paint Nurgle thingies - lovely (I guess) array of shades of green and brown there.
-
Perfect! :-*
-
Thanks guys. And another batch of plaguebearers added - spot the vintage figure! Possibly the last update for a while as that's pretty much all the Nurgle daemons painted up. Hopefully some new releases in the new year.......

Fantastic! :-* we must be due a group shot soon...... ;)
-
Love the pale colours!
Is the big headed guy in the front some sort of special model?
-
Thanks guys. The only group shot I have is this one, with a few of their buddies. Half of the army is now in Hong Kong, the rest will be going soon, so no chance of an army shot I'm afraid. :'(
The big headed guy (I prefer Mr Smiley) is a metal figure, from way back (late 80's / early 90s). They pop up on ebay at regular intervals.

They're fantastic - quite the best treatment of these models I've seen.
If you don't mind my asking, what's your recipe for the pale skin?
-
Beautiful (can you say that?) Plaguebearers!!
-
This are the first Nurgle demons I see that actually look like plagued with real life diseases.
May I ask what paints have you used for them? Specially the dead flesh.
