Anyone have the above and if so, could someone provide me with the dimensions? The circular and oval shields have the same grip arrangement, so how wide is it? Would a 28-32mm figure's arm fit through it without filing?
From TAG's Neapolitan/Spanish heavily armoured command blister, I have a Venetian shield (http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/product/venetian-shield-x-10/) and it has a simple connection point or slot on the back and ~15mm long x ~10mm wide.
Would like to know, is the Perry or TAG oval shield longer and wider?

Hey,
I do not know how wide is it, but you can definitly tray and aks the perry brothers about this ;)

I have those shields at home, but I am currently in no position to measure their dimensions.
However, they came as part of the Italian swordsmen packs, and the grip arrangement fits quite snugly on the (relatively slender) arms of those figures. If you want to mount them on figures with more heroically proportioned arms, you might need to do some filing.

I thought so...
Are the Italian swordsmen smaller than the plastics? A slight alteration isn't that difficult, but dimensions would be nice, as the Perrys have never responded to my various emails over the years asking about such and such, so no point in emailing them. They're probably too busy and no money changed hands, so no real reason for them to respond...
Considering making a few shields out of balsa wood and arts & crafts tissue paper, the trick is to get that curve, but no idea how it'll turn out and is it worth the effort?

1,5x1,1 the perry size

1,5x1,1 the perry size
Centimeters? That makes the Perry oval the same size as the TAG one with the difference being the latter has two and the former four connection/grip arrangement.

Based on the photo, if these figures are the same height as the plastics, the ovals would be about half the size of the figure, though I had assumed it'd be 2 cm long instead of 1.5cm.
Thanks.

The shields are the same as the heavy italian....and of course cm or 15mm x 11mm.... ;)

I measured my shields last night, and got the same result: 15 mm high, 11 mm wide. So essentially similar dimensions to the TAG ones.
What sort of project are you planning to use them for, and how many are you planning to get? TAG ones probably come in packs of 10 while the Perry ones are 24 per set.

I think its quite easy to make your own, if you are willing to work abit with putty and optionally some instant mold. Its gonna be free and fun :)
