Finally managed to watch Black Sails on Netflix and it inspired me to get a move on with a project I have wanted to do for a very long time. 28mm Ship to Ship in the Age of Sail.
I did originally plan on using Laser Dream Works laser cut ships but after building the first one I soon found out that they would be way to big to have more than one on your average table and still be able to move them.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on some Ainsty Casting resin ships. Living in Western Australia the postage for these ships would have been massive so I jumped at the chance to grab to grab 3 second hand untouched ships locally.
Now I'm not sure that the colours or sail configurations are accurate, but in my mind they look okay to me. Whilst painting them up I also ordered some more ships from Firelock Games, just to add variety.

Ships look good (colours or sail configurations), offset by the nice sea mat.
Finally managed to watch Black Sails on Netflix
Do you mean Stan? Because I watched the first season on Stan but have switched back to Netflix now.
