The Warlord Games forum has been down for a few days now. Anyone know why?
-
They said redoing the article section, its also been like that since the run up to the birthday bash thing.
Its getting quite annoying as I keep trying to check painting articles to find they are down.
Also the warlord deals for he birthday weekend were pish for the most part, you know things haven't gone as well as planned when you announce that you are extending the buying period for the historicon minis.
-
They posted on facebook saying that during some website clean up they found a few bugs and problems that needed resolving which have led to them doing a much thorough overhaul of the site.
-
Four days and counting - that's quite an overhaul!
-
Okay thanks chaps.
-
I thought they might be taking them down for good but with no announcement forthcoming to that effect I have been wondering.
-
Articles are back up...missing quite a few and the forum is still down...
-
I notice Warlord have deleted the forum link on their website so presumably they have closed it down permanently?
-
Today's newsletter say it will be back in the New Year. Removed due to a security review of the entire website.
-
They need to fix their emailing system too, I offered to do an article based on an idea I had and that was a good few days ago, still no reply.

Why not send it to Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy? I know Guy is always crying out for articles. Be nice to get some folding money for it as well.

Seconded, they are always looking for new stuff.
-
Gave it a shot and sent an introductory email with some ideas for articles...now how long is a reasonable wait for a reply?
-
I doubt you'll wait long, Guy is quite responsive. Good luck! :)
-
To clarify I didn't send the email today...sent it last Friday.
-
It depends what he has on but there is probably no harm just sending a quick 'just checking you got it' email. I know he can get swamped sometimes. He's a good guy to deal with though.
-
He's often at shows over the weekend as well (or dare I say it, at home), so Mon-Fri office hours are best to get hold of him, if you want to chase anything up. He's usually pretty swift with his replies if memory serves.

Chased things up, My Bowers replied within the hour lol.
