Title: 17th Century Spanish Fortress guns
Post by: anton ryzbak on 23 October 2017, 07:40:35 PM
Before I spend a ton of money adding guns to my 28mm Castillo de San Marcos I was wondering if anybody has solid information on what sort of carriages they used, the ones at the fortress now are from the 1740s-1770s. I have heard that the Spanish used carriages that only had two wheels in the front and a heavy, solid, wooden trail but I can't find an authoritative source. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me at photos or paintings of Spanish fortress guns circa 1680-1710.

Try the two Osprey Fortress books on Spanish Colonial forts and the Spanish Main.
