Encouraged by the upcoming of Stranger Things 2, I've finally splaterred some paint on the Demogorgon mini :)

I've avoided the usual earthy colours used for lizard-like creatures and went for this tuquoise and purple pattern. I can say the same about eyes, I wanted them to look demon-like, so nothing reptilian. This was the result.

The bigger base serves stability purposes, I didn't think that much about it being square, round or whatever.
Here you can find it as well:

Looks great, wonderful treatment of a classic old model.
With that colour scheme he would not look out of place in a sci fi skirmish setting.
-
Lovely colours.
With that and the glowing eyes (not to mention the background) it gives me a very lovecraftian horror feel.
-
Is this model still available anywhere or is it a case of hunting it out.
Great pj. Love the colours. And the eyes particularly!
-
It's still available, I think. It was originally Grenadier if I recall correctly, so Mirliton might have it.
-
Right, as you said. Mirliton (http://www.mirliton.it/index.php?cName=fantasy-2528mm) got the rights of old Grenadier.
Thanks, chaps! :)

And I bet they're selling quite a few these days!
It has a really interesting fine multilayered texture for the scales all over the back - I wonder how that was sculpted originally?

Great colours and OSL, :o

Love it!

Great series! I really got a kick out of the kids plating D&D playing in Stranger Things. (Not that I was big on role playing back in the day). Great job on this classical mini!
-
Your lovely, imaginative painting really saves an otherwise middling sculpt. Nice job!
-
Good job for an oldie mate
-
Love the eyes on that guy.
I painted my one a while back but yours is much nicer.
(I must get around to painting my one from Fractured Dimensions.)
