photos aren't brilliant as I was running against the low battery indicator...
UNIT Lanny... 1/48th white metal model I bought about 10 or 12 years ago and promptly buried in the lead mountain.
It was only when I saw one on eBay (go for a horribly large amount) that I remembered it.
The hamfisted gluing of a decade ago made it unlikely to fetch anything near the mint kit got...

now this is a particularly crappy bit of photoshop, but I just wanted to get all my UNIT stuff together...
still need to do a proper GW style army shot, but with my tiny light tent, and the low battery, this will have to do...

37 minis, including: the Brig, a Major, Benton, Osgood, two Captains, two Sergeants,
4 man mortar team, 2 man LMG team, 2 man Gustav team, 3 grenade launchers and a mix of SMG and SLR...
oh and two vehicles (so far)....

Beautiful mate!! Jealously doesn't even begin to describe... :)
Any luck finding a Vol BTW?
-
nope... closest I can come up with for the outfit is a Hasslefree martial artist, but then the poses are a bit too actiony and not as refined...
-
I just love your painting style :-* the whole force looks great .
-
Like that a lot. The headlights look especially headlighty. Very nice. Regarding the smaller indicator lights, however; shouldn't they be amber or red?
-
Very nice! It was probably for the best to keep it after all 8)
I still really like your windows too 8)
-
Stunning bit of work - grand job. 8) 8) 8) 8)
Did you print the markings on transfer sheet?

Nice job!
Where could I get a Land Rover like that?
-
:-*
Super force you got there!
Really nice mini's and vehicles!
-
Once again: Very nice!
[I am trying to re-find the older posts about your UNIT to see the makes of the minis, but I cannot relocate. Can you remind me the makes of the miniatures? or give the other link? was it in workbench ? Thanks]

all except the Brig, the female Captain, Benton and 2 of the Mortar lads are Mo-Fo Falklands War British... Brig is from Black Tree Design, female Captain is Kendra from hasslefree, Benton and the 2 mortar lads are from Mongrel's BAOR range...
head swaps using hasslefree heads - kneeling captian and Osgood (which are the same figure from Mo-Fo - Osgood obviously has a lot more work done for the conversion), Kendra and Benton...
(the BAOR range have camo'd helmets so the two mortar lads had those filed down to match the other helmets and I completely messed up one of the Mo-Fo heads, so used a Hasslefree head as a replacement - chap with the beard)
that should hopefully cover them... :)

very nice work :)

Great work :-*
Lovely painting. :-*
Landrover is great.
I don?t know why you keep saying your photos aren?t very good, they are great I wish I could do as bad. For my LPL entry I almost spent longer trying to get a good photo than I did painting the figures.
(so far).... What?s next?
-
next is a hell of a lot of yellow...
-
Yellow.... um? The Master's Horsebox and some fairground Autons?
-
no no no... it's UNIT equipment... :D
-
BTD Bessie? ;)
-
yep... again first attempted over 10 years ago by a ham fisted idiot... dread to think what state it's in...
-
I am toying with the idea to make a UNIT [or better a modern? UN unit].
I fancy to mix some Artizan WW2 commandos or airborne to add variety and characters.
What's your idea? Can they fit with MoFo miniatures?
-
I've some Artizan... I used the french maid resistance fighter for a Roboman conversion so they should mix height/chunky wise...
if you want WW2-ish era, before UNIT was the Intrusion Counter Measures Group in 60's Britain and before WW2 the League of Nations had LONGBOW...
-
MoFo and Mongrel should mix...
lots of berets with the VDV
some nice Isrealis....
-

MoFo and Mongrel should mix...
indeed they do splendidly...
-
Transfers - thanks, I'd missed the original thread.
-
Doh! Of course Bessie!!
I use the corgi diecast - but then I'm just lazy!
