On Monday we discussed our next big game and John bought out a figure that he has had for years but cannot identify the source (manufacturer) or the intended race or very much really.
He has the word "GROCUS" on the underside of his base so John is going to use him as "King Grocus" a giant (man size about 25mm foot to eye) dwarf who leads a force into a mine and ... well you'll need to wait until 2018 to see

Are you sure you're reading the base right?
I found a miniature with "M6" written on it, until I stripped it of paint and it became "MJ7" and then used a tooth brush on it and it became "M17" and then finally, FINALLY managed to scrape away the rest of the paint (that someone had put on the base?!) and found out it was a High Captain of Aradhrynd from Mithril ("M67", in case you're wondering).
I cannot find anything with "GROCUS".

Yes I am certain of the lettering. We think he may be part of a set and even be an Orc or similar rather than a dwarf!
We've searched the web for "Grocus" without success.

He's an ogre - Grogus! I asked the same question the other week, and otherworld kindly provided the answer:

Thanks a lot. Now we know he is not a giant dwarf! Won't stop him still being King Grocus though.
