Looking for 28mm uniformed street cops or SWAT that would work for the 1970s and 1980s US.
Where should I look?
Thanks

West Wind's ROADKILL range (they're actually 32mm miniatures, designed to go well with 1:43 die cast model cars):

They're totally 80s and very nice minis IMHO! ;)

Wargames Foundry have some nice stereotypical cops in their Street Violence range, one is even eating a donut!

The SWAT teams are too modern, though. You would need the type of SWAT teams that are seen in those old 70s and early 80s movies which were dudes in black jumpsuits with bulky black body armor and black baseball caps wielding M16 rifles.

I would second Steve F's suggestion, and add the Hero Cops to the list.
[Edit] Sorry for an unspotted autocorrect Steve F.

I used these for some 80's cops:

I think thats more for robustness in casting them. Rather than realism. They are gorgeous figs I am hoping to get round to painting mine soon.

There really two male and one female figures with basic MP5 SMGs and the same with FN Sales. One male and one female with a pistol (plus a two man advanced weapon team).
Thanks Brummie Thug.
